When I became a stay-at-home mom to my two young sons (both neurodivergent in their own ways), I expected healing—but instead, I hit another wall. I struggled to find structure that worked for both them and me. I craved routine, but rebelled against it. I longed for spaciousness, but felt swallowed by invisible labor.

I went through a full nervous system collapse, deep burnout, and ultimately an ego death that shifted everything—from my parenting, to my relationships, to how I define success.

This blog is a home for:
  • Burnout recovery and identity rebuilding
  • ND motherhood and emotional regulation
  • Intuitive routines that support, not suffocate
  • Spiritual practices that feel grounded and real
  • Honest reflections from someone who’s in it with you

Everything I share is through the lens of lived experience—no toxic positivity, no productivity obsession, no Pinterest-perfect ideals. Just truth, tools, and a lot of soul.

Welcome. I’m Cheryl—a neurodivergent woman, former nurse, cycle breaker, and mother navigating the messy beauty of identity healing and burnout recovery. Enjoy Expansion was born from a place of collapse—when I walked away from a high-functioning, high-achieving career in healthcare and found myself questioning everything I thought defined me. For over a decade, I worked in clinical education and nursing leadership—mentoring others, managing teams, and giving everything I had to a system that didn’t support mothers, neurodivergent people, or emotional wellbeing (ironic, huh?).
